Drain Cleaning

When a drain backs up, we have two ways to open it. Augering (also called snaking) runs a flexible steel cable down the line with a cutting head on the end that bores through the clog and pulls it apart. It's fast, effective on most kitchen and bathroom stoppages, and usually the right first call. Hydro jetting uses a high-pressure hose that sprays water at up to 4,000 PSI in both directions, scouring the pipe wall back to bare surface. Instead of punching a hole through the blockage, it flushes out the grease, scale, soap buildup, and root intrusion that caused it. Augering restores flow; jetting restores the full diameter of the pipe. For a one-time clog, an auger is the economical choice. For a line that keeps backing up every few months, or a main sewer with root or grease buildup, jetting is what actually fixes the problem.

A clogged drain doesn't just slow you down, it's a sign something's building up inside your pipes. At Bahr Plumbing, we clear stubborn clogs fast using professional-grade augering and hydro jetting, tailored to the type and severity of the blockage. Whether it's a single slow sink or a recurring sewer line backup, we diagnose the root cause and get your drains flowing clean again.
